Cautiously Good News

I got a response from Dr. Dobbs about Matthew's in toeing. I am going to take it as good news for now but am being very cautious as you clubfoot mommies know. Regression could be right around the corner.

This was his response

Thanks for the e-mail. The video looks pretty good. Has the therapist noted any concerns? It does take awhile to get the gait back to baseline after casting.

I think you are doing all the right things with the stretching and formal physical therapy.

Please keep in touch and let me know if further concerns arise.

So for now, status qou.

Will be offline for a week. Heading out to visit the in-laws. Will update when we return.

Glad you got good news back. I hope that with his physical therapy everything can stay on track and his gait improves.
Have a great trip.

Yes, how familiar I am with these kinds of responses! We'll always have that ever-present grain of caution. But that's not necessarily a bad thing -- diligence can catch something early, before it turns into something bigger.

BUT, with that said, I'm glad to hear it! It does let you breathe a little bit easier ... but I can just see your eyes, glued to that foot without even realizing it sometimes. :) But for now, put a blindfold on and enjoy your trip!
